What is AFT 420 Acne?
Advanced Fluorescence Technology 420 Acne handpiece is the ultimate medical and cosmetic solution to acne. By using selective high intensity light source and converting wavelengths into blue visible light to destroy acne bacteria, this powerful FDA-approved handpiece ultimately treats the root cause of acne, thereby preventing scarring and unwanted marks on the skin.
How does AFT 420 Acne Work?
The acne-causing bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes release porphyrins, which are group of organic compounds produced by hemoglobin metabolism. The AFT 420 Acne emits intense blue wavelengths in the range of 420-950 nm that target porphyrins in the area. When porphyrins absorb the blue light, free radical damage is produced and rapidly destroys the bacteria without causing any damage to the surrounding tissue. Over time, significant reduction in acne lesions, pustules, and scarring can be observed.
